Dr. Allison Giordano
Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist
Dr. Allison L Giordano has an AB from Dartmouth College, an Ivy League institution. She earned her MD at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. She has been a medical doctor for 6 years. She completed her residency at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, outside of Chicago, and her fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Westchester Medical Center, outside of New York City. She has now returned home to Rochester to practice.
She is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist who treats patients 4-21 years old, but she will follow patients through college as necessary. She provides medication management, as well as multiple forms of therapy. She has experience treating Major Depressive Disorder, General Anxiety Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Gender Dysphoria, Social Anxiety, School Avoidance and many more conditions.
Dr. Allison Giordano is the Monroe County Medical Society delegate to Medical Society of the State of New York. She is also affiliated with SUNY Binghamton as a Preceptor for Nurse Practitioners.
Marquita is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who provides supportive therapy utilizing a trauma informed and strengths based perspective. Marquita has over 5 years of experience working with individuals who struggle with a range of mental health conditions; including, but not limited to, Substance Use Disorders (SUD), Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Adjustment Disorders. Marquita utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in conjunction with mindfulness techniques to teach skills to improve overall quality of life.
Marquita earned her Bachelor's degree at SUNY Geneseo. Marquita earned her Master's in Social Work at Nazareth College. Marquita practiced as a psychotherapist with Rochester Regional Health and the University of Rochester before joining Flower City Psychiatry.
