Dr. Allison L Giordano has an AB from Dartmouth College, an Ivy League institution. She earned her MD at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. She has been a medical doctor for 6 years. She completed her residency at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, outside of Chicago, and her fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Westchester Medical Center, outside of New York City. She has now returned home to Rochester to practice.
She is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist who treats patients 4-21 years old, but she will follow patients through college as necessary. She provides medication management, as well as multiple forms of therapy. She has experience treating Major Depressive Disorder, General Anxiety Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Gender Dysphoria, Social Anxiety, School Avoidance and many more conditions.
Dr. Allison Giordano is the Monroe County Medical Society delegate to Medical Society of the State of New York. She is also affiliated with SUNY Binghamton as a Preceptor for Nurse Practitioners. As well as affiliated with URMC as an Attending Physician Advisor for Residents.
